Song Lyrics Back Story:
Many times when couples begin dating, they each have their own set of friends. A conversation with a friend who had recently begun a new relationship reminded me of this and brought back memories of my own experiences years ago. My wife and I were in the early stages of our relationship, and there was a period of time when we navigated the process of becoming part of one another's group of friends. At times, that process was a challenge and at times even placed a risk on our own relationship. The lyrics to this song were inspired by the stories of friends who have experienced similar challenges in their new romantic relationships.
